my last NAS and my Scrap it with a Song page.

Here is my last layout for NAS, it has been a great term and Shawn is wonderful to work with. Here is the sketch

And my page

And this weeks song at Scrap it with a Song is "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. I decided to use this picture of Jon and Bella when she was a few days old. I love this picture of them- not so much the layout though, will probably print out another picture and re-do it at some point. I remember this day very well. She was less than a week old and we were trying to get her birth announcement photos before she got her first set of casts. (she was born with bi-lateral clubfeet and we use the ponseti method of treatment, which included 9 weeks of hip to toe casts, and she got her first set of casts at 8 days old.) Anyway, here is my page

This week we are being sponsored by Crafty Ribbons!!!

They have offered up to the winner the most awesome of goodie packages....their entire Velvet Bling ribbon collection. There are 20 jewel colored 10mm woven velvet ribbons that are heavily glittered with a fabulous bling that won't fall off!!!

So if you want to play along please do so. Just remember to link you layout to the main blog by Sunday.

Some new ones from this weekend.

So I got a much needed break this weekend and went to a fantastic crop at the Hamburg Hideaway in PA. I only had two DT layouts to do, and the rest of the time was spent doing challenges, and pages for a friend. So here are some of them that I got done.

This first one is from a sketch at Stuck Sketches. It is for a one word challenge - FUN- at Scrapbook Challenges. And I am using it for a manufacturer challenge at ACOT- this month is Fancy Pants. And Design Dollies has a "Catch the wave" challenge, where you have to use a big wave on your page.

Almost all the materials from this page came from Coordinates Collection August kit.

Next page is from a sketch at Scrapbook Challenges. These pictures aren't the most flattering, but . . .

And the last one for the moment is for a masking challenge at ACOT and a punch challenge at Pages in Time.

thanks for looking. Be back later with more.

Scrap it with a Song- Get Here

The new song is up at Scrap it with a Song and it is "Get Here" by Oleta Adams. It is a really sweet song, with oh so many possibilities. But I just used the title and a picture of the girls at our old house waiting for Daddy to get home.

I used the Cosmo Cricket paper and different big letters for the letters here. I traced the big letters and then cut them from the paper. I also used some Core'dinations cardstock and sanded it for the background.

This week we are being sponsored by The Paper Trail!!!

They have offered up to the winner a $20 gift certificate to the paper Trail store!!

You will have until Sunday, August 22nd at noon (CDT) to link up your creation with the inlinkz app to the main blog.. I can't wait to see what you all do with this song. Please post your direct post link, not the url of the blog...Thanks!!

Nuts about Sketches and another ACOT crop page

Well, my laptop is fixed so I can share two more pages with you.  Here is the sketch for NAS this week

 And here is my page

I used Cosmo Cricket for this page.

And here is my last page from this past weekends ACOT crop.  It was a salad challenge.  LOL, so you had to pick ingredients prior to the crop and then each ingredient corresponded to something that had to be used on the page.  I had to use cardstock and pp.  Bling, stamp, flower, a tag, chipboard and any number of pictures.

So there you have it.  Thanks for looking.

creative scrappers and acot

Good morning. I still have to share my weekly reveal for Nuts About Sketches with you, but my LCD screen on my laptop died and my layout is trapped on my computer.  So that will have to wait until I get a new screen.  Which should be sometime this week as I have already called Dell to have them fix it.  I also have another page from this past weekends ACOT crop to share, but it is trapped too.

However, here is another I just finished and photographed and is available.  I used sketch 116 from Creative Scrappers  for it.   For the ACOT crop it is challenge 7, to make numbers a center point of your page.  I realized this weekend that my cat Zed has been with me for 15 years.  Through the good times and bad she has been there.  She is a wonderful (if not sometimes loud and annoying) feline, but she loves me regardless.  So I dedicated this page to her.

PPs are all basic grey.

Thanks for looking.

The ACOT  summer crop is going on now.  They are giving away a ton of prizes and gift certificates.  There are a ton of challenges happening. I have done three so far.  And here they are

This is for the 6-7-8 challenge.  6 brads, 7 pearls, and 8 circles.   Papers are from a Dixie Pieces kit.

This is for pictures that are at least 5 years old.  Papers are from a Coordinates Collection kit.
And this one is a scraplift page.  Papers are from a Dixie Pieces kit.

Monday Reveals

Happy Monday everyone.  Time to share my reveals.  I will start with Nuts About Sketches.  Here is the fabulous two pager from Shawn.

 And here is my page.

Love how this one turned out.  I actually fit all those pictures on here.\\

And now for Scrap it With a Song.  This weeks song is one of my all time favorite songs.  (Even if it is a country music song.)  It is "This Kiss" by Faith Hill.    It has SO many great lyrics and so many possibilities.  I chose to do a simple interpretation of it by using a picture of Bella kissing Gracie shortly after she was born.

This week's sponsor is once again the fabulous!!!! YAY!!! They have generously donated a $20 gift certificate to one lucky winner.   So if you want to play along, you have until Sunday August 9 at noon (CST).  Remember to use a direct link to your project, not to your blog.  Have fun.
