May GCT member at A Cherry on Top

Ok I know it is already a week into May, but I have already done a lot.  This past weekend was my Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  I didn't do the 39.3 miles, BUT I did manage to walk a mere 29 miles, so not bad.  And honestly other than a bruised bid toe I feel GREAT.

Anyway, I digress.  I am here to share some happy news, I was asked to be the guest creative team member at my favorite on-line store, A Cherry on Top.  I got to play with some Jillibean Soup and I am hosting five challenges this month.

Here are my items for my reveal (for the full reveal please click here.

two using becky fleck sketches

Hello everyone.  Here are two recent layouts I did using sketches from Becky Fleck and Page Maps.

The first is one I did a few weeks ago for a sketch challenge at A Cherry on Top.  I used Little Yellow Bicycle, Paradise Collection.

Next is a page I did for a challenge over at Scrapdango.  Well not so much a challenge but a game where we each list five things in our stash that do not get used enough and someone challenges us to use one of them.  It is called Make Me Use My Stuff.  And I was challenged to use my Slice.  Well, I finially broke down and got the hands free system for it and now I LOVE my Slice again.   I used the Think Pink card to cut the little pink silhouette.

So why don't  you come over and play the game with us.  I know you have things in your stash that needs to be used again.

a few more.

So here are a few more that I have done recently.

Two weeks ago we adopted a 8-9 year old dog named Petey.   He is almost blind- but that does not stop him from walking up 10 steps in the dark every morning to wake me up at 6-6:30.  I used the February sketch at my  creative scrapbook.

this next one used we r memory keepers and I did it for a challenge at acot but didn't get it posted in time.  it is from a page maps sketch

And I found this new challenge site.  Well not sure how new it really is, but it is new to me. It is called Paper Secrets.  I did their sketch challenge for this one and a color challenge at ACOT.

School Pictures- creative scrappers

I have been in a scrappy mood this week, so  I am back with another one.  Gracie's school pictures came home the other day and they are just to wonderful not to scrap.

I used Creative Scrappers sketch 182 for this page.  I also did a challenge at ACOT - to use a die cut page (have had that pink die cut FOREVER and I am so glad that I finally used it), chipboard title, and a new scrappy supply- the punch.

My Creative Sketches- and two more

Hello again.  I am back with one new one and two I did a few weeks ago, but never shared.  The first one is from the sketch at My Creative Sketches.  They are - I think- affliated with My Creative Scrapbook which is a kit club I have been recieveing for the past year.  I used their November kit (lots of Bo Bunny goodness in it.)

Next I used Little Yellow Bicycle.  This was for the crop last month at ACOT and I scraplifted someone for it.

And lastly, is I do believe also from My Creative Scrapbook- the October kit.  But I could be wrong.  I used Crate Paper.

Three new ones for BPS

I am taking a Big Picture Scrapbooking Class.  It is being taught by the very talented Elizabeth Dillow and it is Design Challenges.  It consists of 12 challenges, issued every three days.  So far we have had 5 challenges and I have done three of them. So without futher ado, here they are

First challenge was to adapt a familiar form on a page.  i used the logo for the united states post office.  Now this was not the way I had planned for it to come out, but that happens sometimes.

Challenge #3 was to use orange as the main color.  I LOVE this page and I think it is one of my new favorites.

Sassafrass :Lass papers and things on this page.

and the 4th challenge is to use a "vintage" font on your page.  For this one I used a sketch from ACOT.  And to be honest I am not sure if it is truly vintage or not, but  . . .

Echo Park is used here.

And that is all for today.

bella @ five

Bella's 5th birthday was last Saturday and to celebrate her I did this page.  I used Creative Scrappers 163 for it (well more or less, I added the big circle).  Also did it for the ACOT color challenge- to use 4 pastel colors.  So here it is

sassafrass challenge and an acot challenge

here are two pages I did a week or so ago based on two sketches.  First is from the Sassafrass Lass Challenge,

and the second is from the the sketch challenge at ACOT

there you go.  I haven't had much time to do anything creative in a few weeks hopefully when I get back home things will get less chaotic.

here are two more

Here are two more to share with you.

The first is for the "Rock around the clock challenge" meaning I had to use 12 of something.  I choose buttons.  I used a sketch for the Scrappiest for it but added the banner.

The second is for the "all caps" challenge- to make the title scream like you do at a rock concert.

used sassafrass for this one.

Winner and a few to share

Good afternoon everyone.  I hope all had a fun and relaxing mothers day and national scrapbook day.  I would like to say that I did, but  . . .  life happens and in our case DH and Bella were in Los Angeles and me and Gracie were here alone and the tv is not working so  . . . not as much me time as I had hoped for.

Anyway, I need to pick a winner from the SC blog hop and random.org picked #1.  So TeenaBugg you are my winner.   (IF anyone can tell how to copy and paste the little box from random.org I would love to know.)

Anyway, I did manage to play a little bit this weekend with the crop at ACOT, so I have three to share.

The first is my fravorite, "I wish".  A few weeks ago I was at my parents house and I found a bunch of old picutres, which I promptly borrowed and scanned.  I love this picture of my grandmother.  She looks so stylish and young.  Every time I look at it all I can think of is "I wish I had the chance to know her back then. I wish I knew more about her life before grandkids."  Things like that.
(Challenge was to use stamps on a page) Used Websters Pages, Kaiser Kraft and a few other things.

Next up is "A Disney Cruise".  The challenge was to scrap about what we would do with a million dollars- what FUN thing we would do that is.  I would take my entire family on a Disney Cruise.

Echo Park papers.  And a Page Maps sketch.

Next one is "Grease Lightning." The challenge was to use a song title for the title, a line from the song on the page, and bling.  I LOVE this picture of Gracie.  It was from her 3rd birthday party and like always she was zooming around the place.  I also combined it with another challenge at ACOT to scraplift on the dt members.

Anyway there they are.  I have another to photograph and another one my table to finish.

I am alive- just barely, LOL.

Well spring has sprung here which means that I am outdoors a lot, thus I am suffering serverly from allergies.  I swear I have a love hate relationship with spring.  Sigh.

Anyway, I have a few to share with you.  First I am so excited to be an "official" friend of page-maps.  I have a layout in the April 2011 Page Maps.

And here it is,

Echo Park used here.

And second I did the Sketchy Thursday's layout from LAST week, but didn't link it up.  Oh well, here it is

Used My Little Shoebox on this one.  And it is also being used for the music challenge at ACOT.

And I asked people at Scrapbook Challenges to share their scrappy spaces because mine was such a mess.  I made a card yesterday and destroyed my space.  I AM NOT a card maker.  But I am trying. LOL.

So I have already cleaned it because I want to play today.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Two news ones to link up

I can't believe it has been nearly a week since I posted anything. But honestly last week was crazy for me.  I felt like I was going non-stop.  Then Friday I drove to PA to visit some scrappy friends and had a great time.  Seriously, best time I have had in a while.

So here are two I did.  I will share the rest as the week goes on.

First up is Target Twins. (Bella had her friend over on Tuesday and the made me get them Bella's outfit so she could change and they could be twins. Sweet right?)   It is from a sketch at Pencilines, for a tic tac challenge at the Paper Variety  (layout, bird, scallops) and for a challenge at ACOT - to use a jingle (double the fun.)

Next is Grouchy Bear.  For a challenge at ACOT to use Cosmo Cricket.  I thought it was also for another one, but I guess I was wrong.

Ok come back tomorrow and see some more of my creations.

Rejoice

Ok a real quick post to get this linked up before the deadline at the Paper Variety- it is actually a photo challenge of a cute pup in a santa hat, but I am attempting to use the colors, warm kraft, red and white color combo (I added green obviously as that is my paper).

I used a sketch from Twisted Sketches- twist pop dots.    Layout is also for ACOT- faithbook- and Scrapbook Challenges- color challenge

Will add to this post this afternoon.

Magic of Christmas- Creative Scrappers

I have managed another layout just because.  Amazing that I have done three of these in the last few days.  I am just in the mood to scrap.  And thus I am neglecting my house duties, but who cares.  So here is one I did for a monthly challenge at A Cherry on Top- to use the word magical, and I used sketch 134 from Creative Scrappers.

I LOVE this page, but I feel like the photograph doesn't do it justice.

Everything on this page- minus the title alphas, bling and the ribbon are from a kit at Its Scraptacular

Twisted Sketches, the Scrappiest and A Cherry on Top

So I went a crop this weekend.  I only did 6 layouts, but I did do 18 cards.  It was mainly the same card 18 times, LOL.  So I will share one or two of those at a later date.

Now here is what I managed to do layout wise- well a few of them anyway.

First Twisted Sketches.  The twist was circles.  I am also using this for ACOT manufacturer challenge- sassafrass lass.  I was attempting to also use this at Scrapbook Challenges (4 photos, stitching, red and ribbon.)  For some reason I didn't bring any of my ribbon with me and once I finished I didn't want to go back and mess with the page.  I really like this one, (which probably means no one else will.)

These pictures were from Bella's first day at tee-ball. She is the only girl in the class and she was the only one to hit a home run that day.  So proud.

Next for the Scrappiest #89, which I am also using at ACOT for the countdown challenge (5 buttons, 4 halloween themed elements, 3 pieces of paper, 2 pumpkins, and black background.)

These are our halloween decorations.  This was the first year we ever decorated for halloween.
Everything here (minus the buttons) is from a kit at its scraptacular.

The next one is for the sketch challenge at ACOT.

Another page where almost all the elements come from a kit at its scraptacular.

And my last one today is for the "scraplift the guest design team member."

Papers and flowers are from a kit at the Scrap Room.

Well that is all for now.

A few from me

So A Cherry on Top had a big crop this weekend and somehow I managed to play along and get four pages done.  So here they are,

Going to China

Here is a just for fun page I did the other day.  All pps, and embellishments (with the exception of the border strip and the alphas) is from a Dixie Pieces kit.  The sketch is from the Scrappiest.  It fits two other challenges- the supply list challenge from A Cherry on Top and the Scrap Room pop up challenge.

Bella packed all her belongings (ok, NOT all of them, but . . . ) in a baby stroller  and came into our room and announced she was going to China to see Kailan.

Some new ones from this weekend.

So I got a much needed break this weekend and went to a fantastic crop at the Hamburg Hideaway in PA. I only had two DT layouts to do, and the rest of the time was spent doing challenges, and pages for a friend. So here are some of them that I got done.

This first one is from a sketch at Stuck Sketches. It is for a one word challenge - FUN- at Scrapbook Challenges. And I am using it for a manufacturer challenge at ACOT- this month is Fancy Pants. And Design Dollies has a "Catch the wave" challenge, where you have to use a big wave on your page.

Almost all the materials from this page came from Coordinates Collection August kit.

Next page is from a sketch at Scrapbook Challenges. These pictures aren't the most flattering, but . . .

And the last one for the moment is for a masking challenge at ACOT and a punch challenge at Pages in Time.

thanks for looking. Be back later with more.

Nuts about Sketches and another ACOT crop page

Well, my laptop is fixed so I can share two more pages with you.  Here is the sketch for NAS this week

 And here is my page

I used Cosmo Cricket for this page.

And here is my last page from this past weekends ACOT crop.  It was a salad challenge.  LOL, so you had to pick ingredients prior to the crop and then each ingredient corresponded to something that had to be used on the page.  I had to use cardstock and pp.  Bling, stamp, flower, a tag, chipboard and any number of pictures.

So there you have it.  Thanks for looking.
