For the Lucky Girl Crafts Party please click here.

Welcome to the NSD (Thank you Pamela) blog hop for Scrapbook Challenges.  If you have just popped into my blog please go to the beginning and hop on from there.

My name is Ana and I am a SAHM from VA.  I have been on the DT here since -- I think September, although I had to try out a few times, I finally made the team.  I love SC and I hope you do too.   The people and sketches and challenges are fabulous.

For this blog hop we all picked a different sketch to do in tribute to Pamela, the founder of SC.  I choose sketch 131

Here is my layout,

There are a number of RAKs involved in this hop.

1.  One member who leaves a comment on all the blogs & in the hop will get Chipboard Borders, 12x12 Collection Kit and a 6x6 Paper Pad from To The Moon by Fancy Pants.
2.  One member who post a NEW a layout based on one of Pam’s sketches and posts it in the HOP ON section will receive a package of Tim Holtz goodies.

3. One new member over the weekend will get the We R Memory Keepers’ Sew Easy Piercer, 4 Piercers, a mixed assortment of Divine Twine and 15 colors of DMC Embroidery Floss.

I will also be offering a RAK to one person who comments on my blog and is a follower.  So if you are not a follower hop on the wagon and become one.   I don't have a picture of my prize because I am on a mini vacation (heck I don't even have wifi in the lodge- had to find a starbucks to post this.)

OK now it is time for you to hop on to JO

and happy National Scrapbook Day.

young love - and a challenge

Hey everyone,

I just posted a challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges for our Valentine's day celebration.  It is to do a layout about two people in love, but you can't be one of them.  Here is my example.

I used sketch 141 at creative scrappers for it.

Two for Scrapbook Challenges

Here are two new pages I did this week for challenges at Scrapbook Challenges.  First is for a new challenge that I posted today.  SC is now doing a weekly ABC's of Me.  I had the letter "A".  So my challenge to everyone is to do a page about their "attitude."  So here is my page,
Papers are from Jillibean Soup.

Next one is a from a challenge that Jackie posted during the blog hop- to scrap a vintage photo.  So I did one of my parents from their wedding.  I used a sketch from the page maps blog for their current contest.

Here it is,

So there you have it.

Scrapbook Challenges and one for fun

Good morning all.  I feel like I have been on a bloggie roll lately.  Here is the latest sketch from Scrapbook Challenges and I am also made it for the Paper Variety challenge (snowflakes) and Scrap Attack Scrapbooking (Fancy Pants).

So here it is- Sketch 236
And my page

This was our first (and only) snow this year.  Barely a few inches of light powdery stuff.  But the girls didn't  care, they played outside for about 45 minutes.  They even tried to make snow angels.

Patterened papers and borders are all Fancy Pants.  Buttons are Recollections, and alphas are Making Memories.

Now here is a page that I did just to do and used a Creative Scrappers sketch 137 for it .  Bella and I and some preschool friends and their mothers all went to a formal tea at the Westin and watched selections from the Nutcracker.  Before it all started each child got to take a photo with the Sugar Plum Fairy.  Bella was the second in line and was a bit nervous, as you can see from the photo.  I scanned the original and couldn't get the color right, so I just went for black and white.

I used Webster Pages for this page.   I used my Martha Stewart craft knife to cut all the things out of the papers.  First time I had used it and WOW love it.  I glimmer misted the white cardstock to give it a hint of color.  The ribbon is also misted.   The pearls are Queen and Co and Kaiser Kraft.

Ok that is all for now I think.  I am fighting another headache so I need to go make my coffee.  Have a great day.

Seasons of Change Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Seasons of Change Blog Hop by Scrapbook Challenges. This is the offical blog hop where we welcome our new design team members, say good bye to those who are leaving the team, and see who is returning. At the same time you get to see some fabulous inspiration and get entered to win some fantastic prizes. If you have just popped in please go back and start the blog hop at Pamela's blog. If you are hopping along then you should have come from the fabulous Chanelle's blog.

My name is Ana, I am a stay at home mom to two little girls. I live a few miles outside of Washington DC. I have been a member at SC for over a year now. I just love the community, the sketches and the challenges. This is my second term on the team over there. And I think that this term is just going to rock. So if you haven't joined in over there, now is seriously the time to do it.

Now on to the sketch, my creation, and the RAKs involved in the hop.

The sketch,

And now a word about my layout. Every year I do a word of the year. You know, a word that is supposed to help guide you in the upcoming year. Last year my word was "Acceptance." This year my word is "faith." Lately, I have been questioning a lot of things and have found myself on a journey trying to find my place in the universe. I have been reading a lot and even attending church and exploring my faith. So it seemed like a good fit for faith to be my word.

(this layout uses no paper. the base is actually thin cardboard, the back of a 12 x 12 stack of paper. I used crackle paint on it and then misted it and used brushes of distress paint. the wavy line is thick chipboard from technique tuesday. the top piece is white embossed chipboard (I think it is chipboard, it is not grunge board, I don't think) that I purchased from the Ranger/Tim Holtz booth at GASC in June. I inked it with distress ink and glimmer mist. I wanted this page to be very earthy. and I do love how it turned out. then I printed the journaling on a transparency)

Close up-
So that is my page, now on to the RAKs-there are some that make me drool.

1. For one person who leaves a comment on all the blogs in the hop, they will get the new Spring Market collection from Webster's Pages, including chipboard buttons and twine.
2. For one person who does a layout based on the sketch and posts in the HOP ON section, they will get the Be Mine collection from Echo Park Paper Company.
3. For inviting people to join the group, one person will get a collection of adhesive from Helmar.
4. For one new member over the weekend, they will get some new stamps from Unity and Webster's Pages. (image to come soon, we hope)

Now thank you for visiting my page. If you answer the following question in your comment I will enter you to win a party chipboard album from Bo Bunny, with coordinating papers. The question:

What is your word of the year?

So now hop on over to the very talented Holli.

Have a great weekend.

Rejoice

Ok a real quick post to get this linked up before the deadline at the Paper Variety- it is actually a photo challenge of a cute pup in a santa hat, but I am attempting to use the colors, warm kraft, red and white color combo (I added green obviously as that is my paper).

I used a sketch from Twisted Sketches- twist pop dots.    Layout is also for ACOT- faithbook- and Scrapbook Challenges- color challenge

Will add to this post this afternoon.

Scrapbook Challenges- sketch 232-233

On top of the madness of preparing for Christmas and hosting in-laws, I got a terrible virus last week.  Apparently one is going around the county.  Starts with a horrible headache and progresses into stomach maladies.  So, needless to say that I was outta of commission for a few days.    What does this have to do with anything you may ask.  Well, I didn't update my blog with last weeks sketch and I don't really like what I did with this weeks sketch, but it was due and I had no energy to fix it.  Which kid of stinks because I had big plans for the fabu sketch Pamela had for us.  So without futher ado, here they are.

And mine,

For Sketch 233 I did the two page version,
So there you have it.  I hope your holidays are wonderful.

Scrapbook Challenges- sketch 231

I can't believe I haven't posted since last week.  I have been a bit under the weather and not motivated to do anything.  Today I really want to scrapbook though, so I may sit down and find a challenge or two to do.  If I can get away from my kids, LOL.  Bella is watching the Wizard of Oz and is making me watch it with her (so I can fast forward the scary parts.)

Anyway, the new sketch is up at Scrapbook Challenges and I have to say that it is one of favorites that Pamela has done.

and here is mine

For the first time in a while my family and my sisters family were at my parents house together for a few days.  We all went down there for Thanksgiving.  My dad bought all the kids tv trays and every morning, they all piled on the couch and had breakfast and watched tv.   I LOVE how this page turned out.  (I hope you all do too.)

So, send me some good healing vibes (I am trying NOT to have to go to the doctor, but I am going to have to call soon.)  Cheers and stay warm.

Scrapbook Challenges and Scrap it with a Song

Good morning blogosphere.  I am up way earlier that I would like to be, but I haven't been sleeping very well and I hate just laying there.  So here I am.

First off, lets start with the sketch this week at Scrapbook Challenges.

I just loved this sketch and decided to make it into a one photo page.   And here is my page,

And now for my last official page as a DT member at Scrap it with a Song.  I decided to retire, as I am just overwhelmed with things at the moment.  The song is Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

And here is my page,

I think I may add some buttons to the flowers, but I am not sure yet, lol.

The sponsor for this week is Toucan Scraps.  She has offered the winner a 6 pack of digi papers.

So there you have it.  Have a great week.
