a perfect fall day

My Blog Candy Giveaway is still going on. Click Here to enter.

Here is a new one I did today using sketch 96 at the Scrappiest. I used some new papers from Nikki Sivils. Well they are new to me, as I got then in a RAK I won from the Paper Variety. I am not sure I have ever used Nikki Sivils paper before and I just loved it.

All elements are from Nikki Sivils, except the green buttons on the tree and the alphas.

Happy New Years everyone.

New to You Blog Candy

Blog Candy is closed now. Thank you.

So I decided to do some cleaning and pass along some patterned paper and a few embellishments that have been sitting in my stash for far too long. So I am offering them up as blog candy. I have thought long and hard about this and have decided that I will offer up three ways to win.

1. Leave a comment on this post
2. Advertise my giveaway on your blog- and let me know that you did it
3. Become a follower. If you are already a follower just leave an additional comment saying so.

So leave a comment for every thing that you did and I will keep a running tally.

Some of the companies you will find in the box are: Pink Paislee, Basic Grey, American Crafts, Scenic Route, Fancy Pants, Making Memories, KI Memories, My Little Shoebox, Heidi Grace Design, My Minds Eye, and a whole bunch more. I honestly have no idea on how many pieces of paper are here, but there are a lot.

So here are some images of my big box of paper.

So there you have it. I will run this give away until the 3rd. I will mail it off on the 5th, if I hear from the winner in time. Happy Crafting.

And if this is the first time you have ever visited my blog, please look around and leave me some comments.

Cheers,

Ana

the night before Christmas

Here is a page I did this morning. It is a picture of Jonathan and I before we left for Christmas Eve mass. I always try to get pictures of us dressed up all fancy before we go to his work party, but I missed it this year when I was sick. So before church it was. I used almost all Bo Bunny materials on here.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. And I will be posting a big box of blog candy in the next few days- I cleaned up my area and I need to get rid of some paper. So check back,

Rejoice

Ok a real quick post to get this linked up before the deadline at the Paper Variety- it is actually a photo challenge of a cute pup in a santa hat, but I am attempting to use the colors, warm kraft, red and white color combo (I added green obviously as that is my paper).

I used a sketch from Twisted Sketches- twist pop dots.    Layout is also for ACOT- faithbook- and Scrapbook Challenges- color challenge

Will add to this post this afternoon.

Scrapbook Challenges- sketch 232-233

On top of the madness of preparing for Christmas and hosting in-laws, I got a terrible virus last week.  Apparently one is going around the county.  Starts with a horrible headache and progresses into stomach maladies.  So, needless to say that I was outta of commission for a few days.    What does this have to do with anything you may ask.  Well, I didn't update my blog with last weeks sketch and I don't really like what I did with this weeks sketch, but it was due and I had no energy to fix it.  Which kid of stinks because I had big plans for the fabu sketch Pamela had for us.  So without futher ado, here they are.

And mine,

For Sketch 233 I did the two page version,
So there you have it.  I hope your holidays are wonderful.

Magic of Christmas- Creative Scrappers

I have managed another layout just because.  Amazing that I have done three of these in the last few days.  I am just in the mood to scrap.  And thus I am neglecting my house duties, but who cares.  So here is one I did for a monthly challenge at A Cherry on Top- to use the word magical, and I used sketch 134 from Creative Scrappers.

I LOVE this page, but I feel like the photograph doesn't do it justice.

Everything on this page- minus the title alphas, bling and the ribbon are from a kit at Its Scraptacular

A few new ones featuring Gracie

I took Friday morning off of everything and scrapbooked. I did two layouts just for fun, both featuring Gracie and both using sketches from the Scrappiest blog.  I am also doing them for other challenges as well.  The photographs are not very good, so I may try to re-take them, but honestly who knows if that will happen.

So here is sketch 92 from the Scrappiest.  I am also using it for the Scrap-Room blog challenge, one photo and two word title page.

And my second one is from sketch 93 at Scrappiest.  I am also using it for a new blog I found, the Paper Variety.  The challenge this week is to do a layout about a child- easy enough.  (They are also having a DT call for those who are interested.)

I love these pictures of Gracie.  Over Thanksgiving the older kids decided to limbo.  Gracie did her own interpretation of it and sang "limbo, limbo, limbo" over and over.  She is so cute.

So there you have it.  Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend.

A unicorn- my new XOXO layout.

Well it is that time again . . . time for a scraplift challenge from the Lipstick Chicks.  Remember that the XOXO blog is a scraplift challenge blog, so all you have to do is pick one or two layouts you like and then scraplift all or part, then link it up.  That is it, easy breezy.  And this month the sponsor is Candy Shoppe Designs.

So here is m layout,

So I hope you play along and wherever you are, you are staying warm.  (It has been in the mid-30s all week and I am cold and hating it.)

Scrapbook Challenges- sketch 231

I can't believe I haven't posted since last week.  I have been a bit under the weather and not motivated to do anything.  Today I really want to scrapbook though, so I may sit down and find a challenge or two to do.  If I can get away from my kids, LOL.  Bella is watching the Wizard of Oz and is making me watch it with her (so I can fast forward the scary parts.)

Anyway, the new sketch is up at Scrapbook Challenges and I have to say that it is one of favorites that Pamela has done.

and here is mine

For the first time in a while my family and my sisters family were at my parents house together for a few days.  We all went down there for Thanksgiving.  My dad bought all the kids tv trays and every morning, they all piled on the couch and had breakfast and watched tv.   I LOVE how this page turned out.  (I hope you all do too.)

So, send me some good healing vibes (I am trying NOT to have to go to the doctor, but I am going to have to call soon.)  Cheers and stay warm.

Scrapbook Challenges and Scrap it with a Song

Good morning blogosphere.  I am up way earlier that I would like to be, but I haven't been sleeping very well and I hate just laying there.  So here I am.

First off, lets start with the sketch this week at Scrapbook Challenges.

I just loved this sketch and decided to make it into a one photo page.   And here is my page,

And now for my last official page as a DT member at Scrap it with a Song.  I decided to retire, as I am just overwhelmed with things at the moment.  The song is Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

And here is my page,

I think I may add some buttons to the flowers, but I am not sure yet, lol.

The sponsor for this week is Toucan Scraps.  She has offered the winner a 6 pack of digi papers.

So there you have it.  Have a great week.

Winter Wonderland

The song this week at Scrap it With a Song, is "Winter Wonderland."  This one was pretty easy for me, as last year we lived in a winter wonderland. LOL.  This week the sponsor is The Stamping Boutique.  I have never worked with digi images before.  I have often been intimated by the thought of it.   But I thought I would give it a try.  And I loved how it came out.  Here is my page featuring the snowflake tree stamp.

So I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving and you find a little bit of scrappy time and that you all play along.

Scrapbook Challenges and a Christmas Wreath

Every Monday Scrapbook Challenges posts a new sketch.  And for some reason, I haven't been sharing them with you- bad blogger.  So here are the ones that are up this month- doing them gets you entered into the running for the monthly prize

Sketch 225

And my page

Sketch 227

Loved this sketch, but didn't get a chance to do it

Sketch 228

And my page

This pictures are from last year.  We just got their pictures back from this year, and there is such a difference.  I can't believe how big they have grown over the last year.

Now I am not much of a crafter or an altered project gal, but when I saw Jackie's tutorial on her blog on the Christmas wreath she made I knew I had to give it a try.  So here is mine

I used Fired Brick and Peeled Paint distress ink- Jackie used different colors, but I didn't have those  . . .  I added the bow and the bells for another touch.  Now I just need to figure out how to water proof it so I can hang in on my door permanently.

Twisted Sketches, the Scrappiest and A Cherry on Top

So I went a crop this weekend.  I only did 6 layouts, but I did do 18 cards.  It was mainly the same card 18 times, LOL.  So I will share one or two of those at a later date.

Now here is what I managed to do layout wise- well a few of them anyway.

First Twisted Sketches.  The twist was circles.  I am also using this for ACOT manufacturer challenge- sassafrass lass.  I was attempting to also use this at Scrapbook Challenges (4 photos, stitching, red and ribbon.)  For some reason I didn't bring any of my ribbon with me and once I finished I didn't want to go back and mess with the page.  I really like this one, (which probably means no one else will.)

These pictures were from Bella's first day at tee-ball. She is the only girl in the class and she was the only one to hit a home run that day.  So proud.

Next for the Scrappiest #89, which I am also using at ACOT for the countdown challenge (5 buttons, 4 halloween themed elements, 3 pieces of paper, 2 pumpkins, and black background.)

These are our halloween decorations.  This was the first year we ever decorated for halloween.
Everything here (minus the buttons) is from a kit at its scraptacular.

The next one is for the sketch challenge at ACOT.

Another page where almost all the elements come from a kit at its scraptacular.

And my last one today is for the "scraplift the guest design team member."

Papers and flowers are from a kit at the Scrap Room.

Well that is all for now.

Scrap it With a Song

This week the song at Scrap it with a Song is "You've got a friend in me" from the movie Toy Story. I decided to use a picture of my two girls. So here it is,

Now when I first did this page I LOVED it. Now, eh not so much. LOL, not really sure why. But anyway, . . .
Our sponsor this week, Crop Chocolate, has donated to one lucky winner $20 in crop credits to be spent on their amazing site!!

CropChocolate.com – Sweet Deals for the Scrapbooking Addict! At CropChocolate.com™, we sell all-things scrapbook. But here's the catch, we only sell one item at a time – at a delicious price.
