Hi and welcome to my stop on the Scrap Tiffany blog hop. I am a huge fan of Scrap Tiffany and was lucky enough to be her April Guest Designer. As soon as I heard she was having another blog hop, I wanted in. And the fact that it is a "recycled" blog hop is so cool. I do have a few projects to share with you- only one is new, the others . . . well they are recycled, LOL. Projects I have done and shared previously.
But first, I have to say that if you just popped onto my blog, and you didn't start at the beginning, please go back to the
first stop (http://www.scraptiffany.com)and hop from there.
Now for a few projects- I am going to save my new project for last, so bear with me. First, here is an altered cardboard box I did a little while ago. I peeled the top layer from the box and then painted it white. I used another piece of cardboard, cut it into strips, painted it pink and then made the frame.
I wasn't sure what to put inside of it, but my youngest Gracie helped, by dumping this little lunchbox die cut holder all over the floor. (Thanks C-Bear.) As I was picking it up, I noticed all these quotes, (seriously I had had this box for years and never looked in it). I thought the colors were wonderful and they were worked perfectly with this thing I was creating. It was at that point I decided to make it a wall hanging.
Then I adhered the quotes but wanted to do more. So I took all the quotes off and distressed the cardstock inside the frame. Then added the quotes back.

At this point I was about done, but really wanted the viney look. I have no twine, or anything, but I do have embroidery thread. So I took some, dipped it mod-podge and hung it to dry. One it was nice and stiff, I crisscrossed and used glue dots to stick it down. To cover the glue dots, I added the little butterflies, and here you have it.

Now my next project I used a mesh bag that onions or oranges or something came in. Here it is,

Ok now for my new project for this hop. I wanted to make a box. Now, it could hold things, or be a gift box, not really sure. I wanted it to be not too big but not to small. So, I realized that the box that I get when I buy the needle disposal for Zed's diabetic needle would be perfect. (Zed is my oldest cat and gets two shots a day to control her diabetes.) So I started with this,

Then I cut off the top so it would be a bit smaller. Then I painted it white- not really sure why, I just always paint these things first.

(Ok I fully had intended to take pictures throughout this process, but didn't. Wish I had a good excuse, but my only excuse is laziness, and that isn't a good excuse.)
I filed the top since I kind of stink at cutting straight. I picked my pp (basic grey scrap sheet that happened to fit.) I measured on side a bit smaller than the side and cut out four of them. Then I picked cardstock and cut about 4 or 5 1 inch strips. I used mod podge to adhere the pp, but glue dots for the border. For the borders I folded the pieces in half and then stuck them to the box on the edges.
I had no idea what I wanted to do after all the papers were stuck to it. As I stared at the pp, I realized that it was four hearts with a dot in the middle. So, I decided to use my slice and cut out hearts and mimic the pattern.
And this is what I came up with.

Ok, that's what I got for you. LOL. I hope you enjoyed my stop. And please, leave me a comment and I will randomly pick one person to receive a RAK from me.
The next stop on the hop, is
Vicki. So hop along and have a great weekend.
