Scrap it with a song - Reveal- Together . . .

Good morning. We had a crazy weekend here with family visiting for Gracie's birthday party. A good time was had by all.

I am going to share only one page with you at this time. Will do the others later this week.
Here is my first design team layout for Scrap it with a Song. The song this week was "Once Upon a Dream" the theme song for Sleeping Beauty. I choose a line from the song, "Together . . . in love forever" and used a picture from my wedding.

Remember if you want to play along you can. Just go to the main blog and link up your project. You can use a line from the song or the title, however you choose to do it.

I used Iron Orchids Designs papers, and hand cut out the flower pattern. Then I added the bling from Zva and Recollections.

a few from the crop- sketchy thursdays and sketches by tamara, acot

Went to a crop this weekend and got a few things done that can be shown now.
First of all, this past week I was chosen as Celebrity Cherry at ACOT. So as part of my status, I had to scraplift someone from the board. Here is what I did.

Also, on ACOT, one of the challenges is to use the word "new". I used the sketch from the Scrap-Room. I am also using it for Sketches {by Tamara} weekly challenge (to use blue, buttons and brads). So here it is,

And lastly, this started out as the Sketchy Thursdays sketch. But since I don't have internet in the crop room, I had to sketch it in my sketch book and well, my proportions are off. Anyway, here it is
Thanks for looking and if you are looking, please leave me a comment. I love to hear from people. Because lately, it seems as if I am the only one looking at these pages.

Some Quotes- altered card board

The new challenge is up at My Scrapbooking Supplies. It is to use this spring picture as inspiration.I loved the colors of it, the vines across and the texture of the background. So I decided to alter a piece of cardboard from an old cardboard box. I peeled the top layer from the box and then painted it white. I used another piece of cardboard, cut it into strips, painted it pink and then made the frame.

I wasn't sure what to put inside of it, but my youngest Gracie helped, by dumping this little lunchbox die cut holder all over the floor. (Thanks C-Bear.) As I was picking it up, I noticed all these quotes, (seriously I had had this box for years and never looked in it). I thought the colors were wonderful and they were worked perfectly with this thing I was creating. It was at that point I decided to make it a wall hanging.

Then I adhered the quotes but wanted to do more. So I took all the quotes off and distressed the cardstock inside the frame. Then added the quotes back.

At this point I was about done, but really wanted the viney look. I have no twine, or anything, but I do have embroidery thread. So I took some, dipped it mod-podge and hung it to dry. One it was nice and stiff, I crisscrossed and used glue dots to stick it down. To cover the glue dots, I added the little butterflies, and here you have it.

Remember there is a prize if you play along. It is a big one this time, and here is the list of stuff you get

Christmas Cutie-

I am a huge fan of A Cherry On Top- the on-line scrapbook shop and message board. Every month they have the most wonderful challenges. If you have never visited ACOT, totally do so. And they will be having a BIG NSD crop at the end of the this month/beginning of May. Anyway, one of their challenges is a sketch challenge and I actually got it done this month.

I decided to scrap this picture of my youngest daughter Gracie. I think it is one of my favorite pics of her. It just shows her personality, cute and a bit fiesty. Kind of pixie-ish. So here it is

PP are Jilliebean Soup. felt is Queen & Co. Stickers are Scenic Route. little felt balls are from a christmas ornament kit of oriental trading co. alphas are making memories

Our Prom- sketchy thursday's

After doing quite a few dt and gdt layouts, I took yesterday to do one just for fun. ACOT has monthly challenges and the theme challenge is to scrap something formal. So with yesterday's Sketchy Thursday's sketch I scrapped this prom picture of Jon and I.

Please note, that we were not in high school at this prom. I was not a pregnant teenager (no offense to those who may have been). I was a high school teacher and the prom sponsor. Thus I got a free pictures taken. Anyway, here it is,

I stamped the frame with a CTMH border stamp and paint. White scalloped strip is Bazzil. Jewels are Recollections. PP- unknown. Black paper is MM. Journal spot is Basic Grey.

Finally after three months . . .

I got the call and my DSLR is fixed. I blogged about it here. I called last month and I guess the factory it was sent to had to send out for a part. Now it is fixed. I can't wait to pick it up and start taking action shots again.

My Monday Reveals, NAS, ScrapTiffany, SC

I have a few reveals today, so I am just going to do one big post.

First my Nuts About Sketches Reveal here is the sketch
and here is my layout

And for my my guest design spot at Scrapbook Challenges, here is the sketch
And my layout,

And lastly, for my guest spot at ScrapTiffany the challenge this week is cupcakes, so I did this layout, Senor Cupcake for it

Sassafras Lass- here it is Jackie.

Last week my virtual friend Jackie posted about a huge box sale from Sassafras Lass. She posted pics of all her goodies, and I immediately went and emailed them, without reading the small print, about wanting one. Then I went back and read and realized I was a day late, well less than 9 hours, and I was bummed. So I went about my daily business, then checked my email and found out that they did have another box. So I called them and found I got the very last box. YAY!!! I was so excited.

So Jackie wants me to post pics of all my goodies, which got here in like 2 days, which made me even happier. So here are the pics Jackie.
I got papers from 4 different line and then alphas, and a bunch of embellies.
