Candy Shopee Designs, Scrapbook Challenges and Design Dollies

Two for you at the moment.

First is for the Candy Shoppe Designs lollipop flowers challenge. (check it out the sponsor is magpie club). I used sketch 199 from Scrapbook Challenges. I wasn't going to add the journaling, but decided to at the last moment, and it ruined the page. I honestly dislike it now. May have to do the whole thing over again, exactly the same sans the journaling. Or maybe move all the elements down to cover up the journaling, not sure. But it can't stay like that, LOL. And it isn't a good photograph, so check back and see what I do.

Second one comes from the current sketch at Design Dollies. And from the paint it challenge at Scrapbook Challenges. Again not really liking it. May have to re-scrape these photos. As I had big plans for them and it just didn't come to fruition.
Well, there you have it. Two layouts that I don't love, but had to share so I could link them up to challenges. Hope you all are having a great holiday weekend.

  1. Thats not ruined!!! BUT if it is bothering you a couple of ideas....I think it would be way cute if you made several more of the scalloped papers and just layer them..alternate blue/pink/blue/pink to match your lollie flower....or you can take it apart and flip it...put that blue scalloped piece on the top and then the photos on the bottom to cover the journaling......there is ALWAYS a way around a problem :) If what is bothering you is the journaling isn't straight nexttime use ruler and very lightly in pencil make journal lines to guide you...or heck even leave them in black marker....that looks cool too if you use a different color to journal in.....hope this helps!!!! I'll be back to see what you come up with!!

  3. Well I think both layouts look great, we are so critical of ourselves when others look on and see such beauty. I love the paint around the block in the DD's sketch layout, and the floral paper is gorgeous. Thank you for playing at the Dollies and I think this is a gorgeous sketch layout. Love Mel (the Dollies)
